Subaqueous Stone Placement Mile 189.9 AHP LDB

Commencing on or about 6 February 2023 and continuing through approximately 9 February 2023, a U.S. Government Contractor will be placing subaqueous stone along the Left Descending Bank (LDB) of the Mississippi River at approximate mile 189.9 Above Head of Passes (AHP).

The Contractor will work 10 hours a day, during daylight hours, and the plant will include an anchor barge with hydraulic backhoe. An office barge and various material barges will be on-site, staged along the river at this location.

During nighttime hours, the Contractor will be staged along the Left Descending Bank (LDB) out of the Mississippi River Channel. The M/V BARBRA ANN and M/V KACIE LUHR can be contacted on VHF Marine Channels 13, 16, and 67.

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
