Subaqueous Stone Placement Mile 33.4 AHP LDB

Commencing on or about 4 January 2023 and continuing through approximately 16 January 2023, a U.S. Government Contractor will be placing subaqueous stone along the Left Descending Bank (LDB) of the Mississippi River at approximate mile 33.4 Above Head of Passes (AHP).

The Contractor will work 7 days a week, 10 hours a day, during daylight hours, and the plant will include an anchor barge with hydraulic backhoe. An office barge and various material barges will be on-site, staged along the river at this location.

During nighttime hours, the Contractor will be staged along the Left Descending Bank (LDB) out of the Mississippi River Channel. The M/V MEGHAN DAWN and M/V KACIE LUHR can be contacted on VHF Marine Channels 16 and 67.

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
