Terminal Manager (Blytheville, AR)

Castlen Terminals seeks applicants for the Terminal Manager position at it's Blytheville Arkansas facility.

Candidates should have familiarity with inland river transportation and/or truck transportation. Additionally, management experience and good communication skills are a must. The management of daily operations at our Blytheville Arkansas terminal entail coordinating employees and equipment for the loading and unloading of barges, and trucks.

Qualifications:

· The successful candidate must be a leader with good character who can lead and train as they will be supervising 4-6 employees on a daily basis

· Good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain professional demeanor at all times

· Ability to communicate with customers, drivers, employees and individuals in a variety of methods (in person, or electronic communication)

· Safety-minded; ability to demonstrate a good safety record

· Candidate must be physically able to climb ladders and stairs up to a including 100ft, is able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted and be willing to work in all types of weather

· Work on the river to unload fertilizer barges to warehouse or direct to trucks.

· Load customer trucks with fertilizer using the computer system

· The successful candidate must be hands on and team oriented

· They also need to have skills and knowledge relevant to the logistics of scheduling and management

· The successful candidate should also have some knowledge and troubleshooting experience with electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment

· Good troubleshooting abilities (mechanical and electrical)

· Previous experience in cargo handling and operating heavy machinery

· Good time management and scheduling skills are also essential to be successful

· Previous experience working on the river with barges is a plus

· High School Diploma, or equivalent

· Work authorization: United States (Required)

 

Responsibilities:

· Supervisor is skilled in all aspects of the agricultural and river terminal loading/unloading industry

· Operate heavy equipment as needed.

· The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating daily facility improvements and will be in constant communication with Operations to arrange and address maintenance tasks
