Tim Parker III, President of Parker Towing, has joined the Transportation and Logistics Advisory Council (TLAC) of Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. The Parker Towing media team took to Facebook to say:

"We are pleased to announce that Tim Parker III, President of Parker Towing, has joined the Transportation and Logistics Advisory Council (TLAC) of Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

As a seasoned professional with over 17 years’ experience in the maritime industry, Tim Parker III, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the council. “I am honored to be appointed to the Logistics Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta,” said Tim Parker. “I’m looking forward to serving on this committee and providing insight about the economics of the maritime transportation sector.”

Members of the Transportation and Logistics Advisory Council help the Atlanta Fed gain deeper insight into key economic information related to the transportation and domestic and international trade sectors in the Southeast.

“The council provides a timely channel of communication between the Atlanta Fed and important constituents in the region's business community and helps the Fed in its assessment of the economy,” says Chris Oakley, VP & Coordinating Regional Executive at the Atlanta Fed.

The council representatives have extensive knowledge in areas such as trucking, rail, maritime shipping, ports, and air cargo and they provide varied viewpoints from throughout the Atlanta Fed's district, which encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and sections of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee."
