Overview: Founded in 2002, GeoStabilization International® is the leading geohazard mitigation firm operating throughout the United States, Canada, and New Zealand. GeoStabilization specializes in emergency landslide repairs, rockfall mitigation, and grouting using design/build contracting. Today the company has implemented more than 5,500 unique solutions and built a team of more than 600 people composed of geologists, geotechnical engineers, equipment operators, geohazard mitigation technicians, data analysts, and rockfall remediation technicians.
About the Role:
With a strong customer focus and meaningful solutions to mitigate geohazards, GSI is currently experiencing hyper-growth. As a result, the People & Talent function is seeking a Total Rewards Leader to oversee the delivery of creative, differentiated compensation solutions on a global scale. The Total Rewards leader will serve as a P&T Leadership team member and report directly to the Chief People Officer.
In this high-impact position, you set the strategy for GSI’s broad-based compensation programs to deliver a “best-in-class” employee experience while demonstrating ongoing ROI. Working with P&T and business leaders across all functions, you lead efforts to design and implement solutions, enhancing our ability to attract, engage, and retain talent. You will be empowered to partner strategically with key stakeholders on a broad range of compensation initiatives. Responsibilities
The Total Rewards Leader will lead through influence across the People & Talent department and across the GSI Organization. The role reports to the CPO and will be a hybrid remote role working in the office to collaborate approximately 60% of the time. The ideal candidate will reside in or be willing to relocate to Denver.
Compensation Design & Administration:
- Role will design and administer total rewards programs across several entities and organizations building to facilitate growth at scale.
- Role will partner with People & Talent Business Partners, Benefits and Wellness to ensure a holistic Total Rewards picture for the company.
- Will use multiple tools and platforms to organize and analyze total rewards data.
- Be a thought partner on annual sales incentive compensation design.
Employee Communication & Education:
- With the introduction of new or revised programs, evangelizes and operationalizes the Total Rewards philosophy across all manager and employee levels. For example, conducting stock equity education webinars.
- Partner with Department Leaders to ensure Total Rewards strategies are appropriately incorporated into messages, meetings, and activities.
- Partner within People & Talent to determine appropriate Total Rewards tools and materials across the employee lifecycle (e.g. Offer letter language, Total Rewards statements, etc.)
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure total rewards and compensation programs are compliant with all required regulations. Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, best practices, and legal and regulatory changes in relevant areas, including compliance with Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work act.
- Develop robust compliance review procedures and performing reconciliations of key data for employee rewards plans to ensure compliance with plan documents, including adherence to eligibility requirements, stock vesting, employee withholdings and vendor payments, among other data.
Job Architecture
- In partnership with the People & Talent Business Partners, design job families, job levels and career paths that facilitate growth.
- Help manage job creation, job descriptions and titles to align to a clear structure.
- Facilitates the annual market matching and benchmarking process.
Key Relationships
- This role reports to the GSI Chief People Officer and will liaison with the entire Sen
- The role sits on the People & Talent Leadership team and hence strong working relationships with the P/T Business Partners, Recruiters, and Benefits Administrator.
Qualifications
Ideal Skill & Experience
- Strong organization and detail-orientation; ability to prioritize and drive forward both the daily tactical activities as well as strategic initiatives
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to develop relationships, communicate effectively (verbal and written), collaborate and influence at all levels of the organization
- Experience in incentive compensation program design and/or reward integration resulting from mergers and acquisitions
- Seven to ten years of progressive compensation and/or total rewards experience in a multi-state environment
- Advanced proficiency with using Excel to analyze data sets quickly and accurately (i.e. basic formulas, VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables)
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
- Compensation Professional Certification/Designation preferred
- Knowledge and experience in development of Salary grades, levels and job bands required.
- Current knowledge of federal/state regulations related to employment including but not limited to 401k, Equity, Non-Qualified Plans and Stock plans
