Update with Diagrams: Naval Protection Zones in Support of Fleet Week Houston

The Captain of the Port (COTP) advises mariners of established naval protection zones in support of 2026 Fleet Week Houston. All U.S. Navy vessels will be surrounded by a 500-yard naval protection zone while in port. (33 CFR 165.2015) 

No vessel or person will be permitted to enter, transit through, anchor in, or remain within the exclusion zone without obtaining permission from the Captain of the Port Houston-Galveston or a designated representative.

Vessels checking in with VTS will be directed as needed. Questions or concerns can be directed to Waterways Management at HoustonWWM@uscg.mil. After hours or time critical issues can be directed to the VTS Watch Supervisor at 281-464-4836/4837.
