USCG: Black Bayou Bridge-GIWW

All mariners are advised that the Black Bayou Bridge, located in the vicinity of mile marker 237 on the GIWW, is undergoing emergency repairs due to an allision. The following restrictions are in place until canceled by the U.S. Coast Guard:

All mariners are to transit the area at the slowest safe speed.

Daylight transits ONLY from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., unless an assist vessel is on scene after hours.

Vessels are restricted from transiting when visibility is less than 1/2 a mile.
Vessels are restricted from transiting when the damaged fender system is submerged and out of sight unless an assist vessel is on scene.

Please be advised there may be intermittent closures during repairs. For the intermittent closure schedule, please contact the Black Bayou Bridge at (337) 475-3389. Repair vessels on scene will be monitoring VHF channels 13 & 16.
