"The Vessel Traffic Service New Orleans is providing a daily update of the ongoing /upcoming restrictions for review. The idea is to keep all mariners appraised of any construction, closures, potential issues and hazards that are currently being addressed on the LMR."

VTS LMR 5 Day OUTLOOK

Sunday, October 16

  • Dredge Bella Rose will be working at MM 124.5 LMR RDB: The Dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will be monitoring VHF-FM Channel 67. Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made. The points of contact are Capt. Justin Pajeaud at (504) 225-2036 and Brad Tassin at (504) 858-2925.
  • (NEW)) USACE Revetment @ Kenner Bend (MM 111.3 LDB): One-way transits with slow bell during working hours. MSU will fold in at night. Travel from 193 to 111.3 Sunday, commence work Monday at 0600.
  • USACE Saltwater Barrier Sill Construction @ MM 63.65 to 63.91: Slow bell between MM 63.5 to 65 AHP. One way traffic from MM 63.65 to 63.91 AHP confined to a channel 500’ wide. Check-in with Contact Pilot onboard the T/V CAPT SAM 30 minutes prior to arrival on Channel 67. Restrictions on use of Alliance Anchorage.
  • Harvey Locks: Remain closed because of reverse head conditions.
