VTS LMR 5 Day OUTLOOK
Thursday, October 20
- Dredge Bella Rose will be working at MM 124.5 LMR RDB: The Dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will be monitoring VHF-FM Channel 67. Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made. The points of contact are Capt. - Commencing 9 Oct 22 through 16 Dec 22 the M/V Miss Nina will be conducting Subaqueous Stone Placement ops at MM 192.7 AHP RDB. They will be working 7 days a week daylight hours only, with various office, deck, hydraulic, and material barges staged at this location. All ships are requested to contact the Miss Nina on VHF 7/67 or POC Captain Sammy at (318) 452-0183, 30 min prior to arrival. 24 hour contact is the M/V Mila Kate at 504-495-1478. ANTICIPATING SECURING OPERATIONS P.M. THURSDAY UNTIL A.M. MONDAY, OCTOBER 24.
- Pipeline Removal Operations @ MM 189.5: River closed to all traffic from 1900-0700. Southbound traffic check-in with VTS at MM 205; northbound traffic check-in with VTS at MM 167.
- USACE Revetment @ Kenner Bend (MM 111.3 LDB): One-way transits with slow bell during working hours. MSU will fold in at night.
- USACE Saltwater Barrier Sill Construction @ MM 63.65 to 63.91: Slow bell between MM 63.5 to 65 AHP. One way traffic from MM 63.65 to 63.91 AHP confined to a channel 500’ wide. Check-in with Contact Pilot onboard the T/V CAPT SAM 30 minutes prior to arrival on Channel 67. Restrictions on use of Alliance Anchorage.
- (NEW) Harvey Locks: Is now open to all traffic.
Friday, October 21

Sunday, October 23
- NEW - 23 October to 18 November Subaqueous Stone Placement MM 11.5 to 20.1 AHP LDB
The M/V MISS BARBARA ANN, will be placing subaqueous stone along the Left Descending Bank (LDB) of the Mississippi River from approximate Mile 11.5 to Mile 20.1 AHP. The Contractor will work 7 days a week, 10 hours a day, during daylight hours, and the plant will include a Spud Barge with hydraulic backhoe. An office barge and various material barges will be on-site, staged along the river at this location.
